The following procedure must be used when creating a new lease. If it is about a renewal, refer to the relevant procedure.

Create a lease
  1. Go in the left menu, Data, Lease
  2. Select the building and the rental unit in which the new tenant will live
  3. Click on the button Add
  4. Answer No to the question: Is it a renewal? since it is a new tenant, therefore a new lease and not a renewal
  5. Note the lease term as well as its the beginning date

    NOTE If the period of the lease has expired (to keep an history) or that it is to come (future tenant), the lease will be considered as inactive. Therefore, it will not be visible if you keep the regular display in the Invoicing and Collection windows.

  6. Specify the lease features and terms and conditions in the relevant tabs

    NOTE To specify the cost of services included in the total rent, go in the tab Price Detail and check Detail the Amount. For more details on grants, reductions and other atypical cases, refer to the link below.
  7. Record by clicking on the blue diskette and close.

NOTE The number of the lease allotted by default by Real Estate Manager is not a number allotted by the Régie. You will have to manually modify the number of the lease in Real Estate Manager (tab General, section Misc. information) so that it reflects reality.
