The following procedure shows you how to generate a 31 statement using Proprio Expert. First of all, make sure that:

  • You have your preparer number and your statement numbers given by Revenu Québec
  • The address of each apartment (apartment window) is correctly written like this: (No, street, unit)
  • The address of each owner (owner window) is correctly written like this (No, street, unit)
  • The address of each tenant (tenant window) is correctly written like this: (No, street, unit)
  • That the owner is related to the building
  • In the case of a building with several Owners, the name that appears on the statement would be the one with the largest number of shares indicated on the software

How to produce the RL-31 SLIP on Proprio Expert:

  1. Go to the top menu, Annual, Prepare RL-31 slips
  2. Specify the taxation year
  3. Enter your preparer number (eg NP + 6 digits) You have been assigned when registering with the Electronic Data Acquisition Division.
  4. Indicate the type of declaration (original)
  5. Enter your first statement number
  6. Select the buildings and apartments
  7. Click to Prepare RL-31 Slips
  8. To send the statement to Revenu Québec Click Here



RL-31 SLIP XML contains the statement of the preparer. This file must be sent and approved by Revenu Québec
RL-31 SLIP PDF contains tenant records. This file must be printed and sent to each tenant or tenant..

It is important to note that the preparer's statement must be approved by Revenu Québec before printing and send the tenant statements..
