General Ledger account not in the Bank account options

Here are two possibilities.
  • Possibility No.1:

  • The General Ledger account is not of class Bank whereas only an account of this type may be linked to a bank account. Here's how to check.
    1. Go in the top menu, Accounting, General Ledger, General Ledger Accounts
    2. Select the account to link to a bank account by double-clicking on it
    3. Check if the round “Bank” is selected in the section “Class” located under the blue diskette +. If it is not the case, select this round and click on the Validate button, located at the top of the window, then press on Close.
    4. Return to the window Bank Account: top menu, Accounting, Bank Transaction, Bank Account.
    5. NOTE : If you did not closed the window, click on the two blue arrows (Refresh) in the top of the window Bank account.

  • Possibility No. 2:

  • The General Ledger account is probably linked to another folio. A General Ledger account can be linked to only one folio number at a time.
    1. Check then for each one of your bank accounts that the searched account is not already linked to another account. That is it should not appear in the shaded box at the lower left corner of the window.
