Prepare my rent increase

Real Estate Manager enables you to choose the increase in %, $ or according to the calculation grid of the Régie du logement.

Several factors need to be considered to fix a reasonable rent increase. For more details, visit the site of the Régie du logement and refer to Regulation respecting the criteria for the fixing of rent.

Here's how to optimize the use of your Proprio Expert so as to proceed with your rent increases.
  1. Carry out a complete and up to date accounting
    1. Enter the expenditure with the relevant account
    2. Associate the expenditure to a specific element
    3. Distribute the expenditure according to their attribution
  2. Calculate the increase
    1. Use reports to validate the data
      1. Statement of income (See left menu, Report, Financial Statements, Statement of Income)
      2. Insurance (see top menu, Report, Information, Building, Insurance)
      3. Detailed buildings (taxes) (see Top Menu, Report, Information, Building, Detailed buildings)
    2. Use the integrated calculation grid of the Régie (see Top Menu, Annual, Rent increase)


    3. To calculate according to this grid, select the element and click on Form of the Régie to review it. For more details on how to use the Régie's form, please refer to the procedure linked at the bottom of the page.
  3. Record the increase in the system
    1. For the automatic” see Top menu, Annual, Rent increase.


    2. Clarification about this type of increase
      The decided increase will be applied to the rental unit selected in the left box. The increased rent will be recorded automatically in the window Rental unit, tab Planned price. To modify an increase (e.g. following an agreement), just re-enter the increase for the rent concerned.
    3. For a manual increase” see left menu, Data, Rental unit, Information, section Planned Price


    NOTE: To obtain a report for all the increases carried out, go in the top menu, Reports, Misc., Other, Rent increase.
  4. Generate and send notices of rent increase
